Tennis Playing Opportunities
If you're looking for a group of tennis friends to play with regularly, you're in the right place. We have tennis groups playing doubles all over the Twin Cities at different times and skill levels.
In group play, you can play Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, or Mixed Doubles. We have winter and summer group play, but the groups are run differently for each of the two seasons.
Senior Tennis negotiates deals with tennis clubs so in most cases you do not have to be a member. Ask the captain for specifics.
If you have any questions about group play, check out our Frequently Asked Questions page!
We want you to enjoy tennis as much as we do, and improving your game is one way to do that!
One of the great benefits of an STPC membership is low-cost tennis drills from USPTA pros.
Drills are held weekly and they run throughout the year. Drills are 60 or 90 minutes long.
In summer the drills are held outside from May through August. Each week you will receive an email notifying you of the following week’s drills. You will be able to go into Ticket Bud (link will be included) and buy a ticket(s) for that week.
During the winter, drills are held indoors from September through April. Pre-registration for these drills is generally required.

STPC Pop-Up Tennis is an opportunity to play at your skill level, when you want, without a season-long commitment. If you are a new member, Pop-Ups are a great opportunity to engage and meet other members, which can lead to group play.
How it works: As an STPC member, you will receive email invitations to STPC Pop-Up Tennis events. These events will be set up at different dates, times, and facilities with a 7 to 10 day notice. If you want to play, simply reply to the email and we will reserve a place for you on a first-come, first-served basis!

Team Tennis is offered each summer. League matches are played on outdoor courts, on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, from mid-June through mid-August. Each player plays one proset of doubles and one of mixed doubles. Team scores and standings are reported each week, and at season's end the leading team is declared Champion!
See the Team Tennis Schedule.
Please contact Mike Woolsey (952-937-2546) to help you find a team to play on.
And, oh yeah, as one of our long-time participants says: "It's a lot of fun"!
